EdVert Garden

Pitch:

We are excited to share our project with you. It’s called EdVert Garden short for "Edmonton + Vertical Garden."

We made a smart and fun vertical garden that’s not only great for growing plants in small spaces but also includes a bowl of water with real fish!

We got our design idea from a website called Thingiverse. It’s an open-source 3D printing platform, and we found a modular vertical garden there. This means you can stack small

plant holders on top of each other to create a full garden wall.

But we added something special to this idea, we placed a fishbowl at the bottom of the structure. This makes it more than just a garden it becomes a mini eco-system. The fish

produce waste, which helps feed the plants, and the plants help keep the water clean. This is called a simple aquaponic system.

It’s fun, easy to build, and looks cool in homes, classrooms, or balconies.

We also created a website for this project called EdVert Garden. It has simple guides and tips on how to use the garden and learn more about how it works.

What makes this project special is:

  • It helps people grow fresh herbs or small plants even in small spaces.

  • It teaches students and kids how plants and fish can work together.

  • It’s 3D-printed, so it’s affordable and customizable.

  • And most of all — it’s eco-friendly and educational.

We believe EdVert Garden is more than a decoratio. It’s a way to learn, grow, and care for nature, even in cities or small homes.
